It's Official

Today was the day I suddenly realized, "It's summer! I can spontaneously do..... random stuff......."
I had an extremely summery day. It was nice. I know you're dying to know what I did; so I'll tell you. (It's actually more like I'm dying to tell you) XD

9:30 - My sister wakes me up and asks if I want to go swiming at 10:00.

10:30 - We get to the pool to find that on Mondays, the pool doesn't open till 12:00.

10:30 - 12:00 - I text friends, do chores, and play Temple Run (seriously, that game is so addicting)

12:00 - 1:00 - we swim

1:00 - 1:45 - I text friends while trying (unsuccessfully) to tan

During the friend texting periods, a spontaneous visit by T.C. and AnnaLee took shape.

1:45 - 2:30 - we get home and make ourselves (semi) presentable

2:30 - 3:30 - AnnaLee and I paint nails and chat while T. C. and sis go play tennis

3:30 - 4:00 - AnnaLee and I bike down to the tennis court / play ground and swing while T. C. and sis play tennis (you never get to old to swing in my opinion)

4:00 - 5:00 - We go to Loganberry's and get yogurt

5:00 - 5:45 I blog and think about how singularly unproductive I was today

So you've probably noticed that I don't post pics on my blog. That's because I'm lazy. However...... T. C. gave me an idea that was just to good to pass up. I've started taking the foot pics. You know, the picture of just your feet when you're doing something fun. It's the latest craze, and I thought they were kinda funny. (just for the record, I don't do things just because that's what's in) Ok, back to the idea. T. C. suggested I take foot pics of all the fun stuff I do this summer and post them all at the end of the season. Just for kicks. (get it? foot pics for kicks) So that's what I'm gonna do. Prepare yourself for a long post of nuthin but pics.

Before I go, I would like to remind everyone to pray for the people in Colorado. Imagine being evacuated from your house and not knowing when you can go back, or if there will even be anything to come back to. The best way we can help them is through prayer. Thanks.

Happy Summer!!!!!

Hello all! So by this time you've probably figured out that I'm not a blogger by nature. I don't sit down and write about what I've been doing. (especially when I really haven't been doing anything) However, I did have a fun camp two weeks ago. For those of you who don't know, I was at a film camp. (meaning they taught us the basics of film making) During the whole week, they had us make a video. Each day what we learned, ( shooting, sound, etc.) we applied in the video. So here's the one my team made.Yes that's me in it. I was an extra. I happened to be cracking up at the moment they shot.

So the other day I went and saw Brave. Yes I know. You're jealous. It wasn't that bad. I mean it had the same worn out message of, " Girls are just as good as boys..... etc, etc." But the general plot was good.

Speaking of movies I have seen/will see.............. I can't WAIT for this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the trailer:

I have to go. just remember, when life rains, just sing........... hope that made sense.

the post that has very few connected thoughts

HI!!!!!!Well, school is winding down. I had two finals last Thursday and one coming up this Friday. I would appreciate prayer for that. On Thursday I had a five page logic final. Six if you count that extra credit........... ouch doesn't even begin to describe it. However it went well, and I got a good grade.
How come weekends never seem long enough?

I haven't been getting enough sleep lately.

My sister sort of won her division of a 5K. her friend beat her, but she wasn't timed and you don't get counted if you're not timed.

My friend lent me lots of Nancy Drew video games.

I'm out of books to read........again

I have missions trip training next Sunday

I need to clean my room.

I haven't been to Starbucks in about four months. (that's saying something for me)

My brother likes to golf.

My dad just got home from a two week bussiness trip. He went to NY and Singapore.

I need to make myself some tea.

good bye

Prayer Request

Hey everybody. Can you be praying for my friend? Her dad died yesterday. I can't even imagine what she must be feeling. I don't think I want to. I would really appreciate it if you could pray for her and her family.

Sooooooo yeah.

Okay, so I'm back. I don't really have anything to write about, so I'm winging it. Don't you hate it when you're talking to someone and you suddenly stop talking, start closely scrutinizing the floor, and say "soooooo yeah." (If you hear me say that, you know that I've completely run out of things to say). Anyways, that's sort of how I feel now...... at a loss. Wow. Sooooooo yeah.............. *silence*.........................*more silence*..........

I'm debating whether I should go to the midnight showing of the Hunger Games or not. I really liked the first two books, but I cannot tell you how DISAPPOINTED I was with the third one. she completely changed her character and turned her into a killing machine and made her lose her patience with everyone until you're saying, "Die, just die. You're so annoying."

I was on youtube the other day and found this. It has got to be the most hysterical thing I've seen from him.

I realize I'm randomly jumping from one subject to the next, but that's ok. You don't care, do you? I didn't think so.

While reading ( I forget what ) I found the most encouraging quote. It was so encouraging that I couldn't not share it. The bad part is, I forgot who said it. I think it was Charles Spurgeon.
"Remember, there is nothing that happens in your daily life, but was first of all devised in eternity, and counseled by Jesus Christ for your good and on your behalf; that all things might work together for your everlasting benefit and profit." Is that not reassuring?

Yesterday I painted my nails red. I had gotten this really, really bright red nail polish, and it made my day so much......... well......... redder, I guess. I mean that in a good way. So if you ever need more bling in your life, paint you nails red and /or get a hold of some red lipstick.

Just for good measure, and to give you one more laugh before you leave my conner of the web:

Thank you for your time and patience and for reading my ramblings.
Don't worry, be happy.

P.S. Tuppence is my new alias in case you're wondering. I got it from Agatha Christie's Tommy and Tuppence books.

not up my alley

So today I did something that no self-respecting person doesn't do before college. Yes. I went bowling. Wow. As my title implies, I didn't really take to it that well. But I had fun anyway. I actually like it quite a bit.(or at least I will when I get better) On a brighter note, the other day was my mom's birthday. Yes, I made the cake. It was so fun because I made it while she was out and completely surprised her. And what's a surprise cake with out the unplanned accident in the middle of the time crunch? Yeah........ Did you know that when you pour warm caramel on a whipped cream frosting the frosting melts? Ok, so I know what you're thinking, "what kind of person doesn't know that!?" In my defense, I didn't know the caramel was that warm. Buuuut that didn't change the result. I was able to salvage it, and clean up the kitchen before she got home. The cake actually didn't look too bad. *sigh of relief* Recently I read the sequel to the book Howl's Moving Castle........WOW......... If you haven't read Howl's Moving Castle (in which case I highly suggest you do), here's a summary: Sophie is a shy and proper young girl who works in and lives above a hat shop with her mother and two younger sisters. One day while she is working alone in the hat shop, this witch comes in and turns her into an old woman. After that she, for some reason that I'm still not quite sure of, feels compelled to run away.... so she does. Anyways, while wandering around she sees a moving castle. Actually a better description would be a moving junkyard that resembles something habitable. Feeling more bold than normal, owing to huger, exhaustion, and the elements, she goes in. Upon entrance, she learns from a resident fire demon that the house is inhabited by Wizard Howl and his apprentice Markle(or something like that). Wizard Howl is infamous for getting girls to fall in love with him. And, once they announce their undying love, he basely eats their hearts. (don't ask me how that works). So, finding herself in the lodging of a very dangerous wizard, Sophie stays on under the guise of the cleaning lady. (I think this was partly due to a strong sense of curiosity and this being the only place with a good fire in the near vicinity) The rest of the story is a delightful tale of how she..... never mind. You'll find out. Oh and the answer to the trivia question was monkees. Whistle while you work, stay away from blue toadstools, and let me know if you can yodel. Em
